And do you sometimes hear stuff going on in your head? Do you find yourself feeling really down and frustrated because of negative thoughts and beliefs running through your mind all the time? Thoughts you can’t seem to get rid of?

I know it’s hard to admit the truth to ourselves sometimes. Let me help you by putting my hand up and saying – been there, done that!

In the past I’ve gone through phases where the negative voices in my head became overwhelming. There would be days I’d be consumed with thoughts like ‘why the heck am I doing this for, what’s the point’, and the biggest problem apart from the fact that these thoughts made me feel so unhappy, was that they were stopping me from making the progress I wanted to make towards living the life I dreamed of.

Our thoughts are very powerful. They impact our emotions; drive our actions and even affect the cells in our bodies.

I admit to still thinking a negative thought once in a while, I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t. However, I’ve also learnt that I have the power to let them go and not focus all of my energy on them. This is one of the best lessons I’ve ever harnessed. In fact learning how to be more in control of my thoughts has been a real game changer for me.
